If you are interested in earning a special education teaching endorsement in 18 months while working full time, this is a great program to consider. Earn this certificate with cohort-style learning designed to fit in to your busy life! All credits earned in this licensure program also count toward a Master’s of Education with a focus on special education.

Summary
Iowa State University’s School of Education offers the courses needed for you to earn Iowa’s Instructional Strategist II: Behavior Disorders/Learning Disabilities, ages 5-21 endorsement.
All of the courses required for the Strategist II: Behavior Disorders/Learning Disabilities endorsement use a hybrid model that combines distance education components with a limited number of on-campus sessions (usually a few Saturdays per semester). Distance courses in special education make use of Canvas and video-streaming technology to maximize real-time interactions with the instructor and fellow students.
